Here’s how to give a second life to your clip-on extensions thanks to the L’Oréal Steampod.
How?

With all the straighteners available on the market, I had to talk to you about one straightener in particular that I have been testing since its release, alongside its colleagues, the old Babyliss (my first straightener), I won’t say more as I’m not here to criticize others but still… and also having as a neighbor the star GHD. I must admit that when I switched from Babyliss to GHD, I understood in a second that I had never really had a straightener before. Indeed, for me, the GHD was the Porsche of straighteners, until the day… the Steampod arrived. When I took the beast out of its packaging, I realized I was facing a real revolution. A steam-straightener-iron-polisher… The whole package.
New
The Steampod is the result of the collaboration between two very big brands: Rowenta and L’Oréal. The process is simple: a strip of steam comes out along one of the two ceramic plates, allowing the maximum opening of your hair cuticle so that the previously applied serum can penetrate inside the fiber to nourish it deeply. The passage of the plates just behind allows closing the cuticle, thus trapping the product.
Result on natural extensions
Discover your hair extensions like on the first day! Soft, smooth, and extremely shiny. I tested the Steampod on my natural hair extensions and I must say… I am amazed! I took out an old extension kit (not crazy, the bee), to do the test. You should have seen the face of the extensions, I can tell you they’ve been through a war, after a little dry shampoo, a little brushing, I apply the serum and activate the steam. Well, let me tell you, I R.E.S.U.R.R.E.C.T.E.D my old extensions. I thought they were good to throw away, and here they are ready for another round. For those who want to give a new shine to their old extension kit, stop using fabric softeners and all the absurd things you can read on the net and try the Steampod.
In short
For my part, I find that the cream you are suggested to apply with the device is really not necessary, furthermore I find that it leaves a sticky effect on the hair. On the other hand, the serum makes your hair really shiny, I recommend it and this one in particular. However, I draw your attention to the fact that your hair returns to its natural appearance (dull, rough, and frizzy) after the next wash. I don’t find it to be a long-term treatment to repair your hair, however, it really gives you beautiful hair! My long hair is neither straight nor curly, it is “smooth” and of European type, I also tested it on very thick and frizzy hair, the result is surprising, however, the outcome will be less amazing than on Western hair.
